Creighton’s have been a generous sponsor to our Club for many years and we are very pleased to say that they have agreed to provide sponsorship again in 2023.
This year, the sponsorship is providing a weekly winning rink award and quite a few of our members have already enjoyed receiving this reward for their hard earned wins.

We have new Club triples champions after end of play today. Anna McLeod, Phyllis Betterridge and Sally Murphy carried their good form from the semis into the final today. Last week we sweltered and today we were kept cool by the wind. Sally’s team handled the conditions very well and set up a good lead halfway through the game. Pam Brann, Sue Perdriau and Margaret Hickman tried hard but were beaten in the end 22/12. Well played everyone and congratulations to the winners.
The semi finals of our Club Triples were played today. They were delayed by rain on Tuesday. The winners were Sally Murphy , Phyllis Betterridge ( sub Denise Wickman) and Anna McLeod. They played Judy Brean , Helen Tristram ( sub Sue Jordan ) and Anne Nichols with the score 35/11. It was very hot today and 2 of the girls were affected by the heat and this led to the substitutes. Phyllis can resume her spot on Tuesday.
In the second game, Pam Brann, Sue Perdriau and Margaret Hickman defeated Sue Newman, Carol Russell and Sue Staples 22/15.
The final will be played next Tuesday.

The Forrester’s Beach challenge opens for registration today on Breakers Bowling Club Team App so put your name down of you would like to play on 30 th March.
This Tuesday 7 th March, we will be celebrating International Women’s Day, so wear your pink and purple shirts( or anything purple) . We will also be making it a donation day for Elsie’s Retreat which is our designated charity so bring those gold coins along .
