Great day today celebrating Melbourne Cup by playing Turn around Triples format. The day began with members arriving in a display of very inventive headwear with horses playing a major part in some of the creations. After settling with a cup of tea or coffee ( the champagne was saved for later ) , punters lined up to participate in the very lucrative $1 and $2 sweeps which were capably run by Denise and Marg. They were rigorous in maintaining a gamble responsibly atmosphere! Once out on the green , we played 6 ends in each position and on the 18th end , the winner was decided by being closest to the little ponies that had found their way onto the green.
